Meet Sienna; ImBlaze's Customer Success Specialist!

At Big Picture Learning, I’ll be working as a Digital Partnerships Specialist, supporting educational partners in using ImBlaze to connect students to real-world learning experiences. I’ll support partner onboarding, provide ongoing guidance and troubleshooting, and help ensure educators have what they need to effectively use the platform to support and track student learning experiences.

Even before ImBlaze, I’ve always been drawn to work that helps people access opportunities and discover what’s possible for their future.I didn’t always have a clear roadmap for what that would look like. As a first-generation Latina who grew up in the Coachella Valley, figuring out college, career options, and what paths were even available to me often felt overwhelming. That experience is a big part of why I care so deeply about helping young people feel more confident and supported as they navigate their own futures.

A lot of that perspective also comes from my family. My dad spent his career working as a security guard at local high schools, and he would often come home with stories about students he supported in small but meaningful ways, and students who impacted him just as much. Those stories stayed with me and shaped how I think about the importance of relationships and access in education.

After graduating from California State University, Long Beach with a degree in Sociology, I began my career as a preschool teacher. I had always wanted to explore teaching, and while I loved working with little ones, I eventually realized it wasn’t the long-term path for me. What I was most drawn to was supporting students, especially first-generation students, helping them discover opportunities, build connections, and feel more supported as they navigated their futures. That realization led me to transition into a nonprofit role supporting students through work-based learning programs.

In that role, I helped recruit and enroll students and volunteers into mentoring and career exploration programs. One student I worked with wasn't sure what career path they wanted to pursue, but after being paired with a mentor, they later reached out to share that they had been offered a job in a field they hadn't previously considered and thanked me for connecting them with the opportunity. Another student credited their mentor with helping them through the college application process and shared that they had been accepted into their top-choice universities. Moments like these reinforced for me that this work truly matters. It's not just about programs or placements. It's about relationships, confidence, and helping young people see possibilities they may not have seen before. 

Moments like that showed me how powerful access to the right opportunities – and the right people at those opportunities – can be. It wasn’t just about being in a program, it was about being connected to someone who could help her see a path she hadn’t seen before and feel confident enough to pursue it. Experiences like this reminded me that even small connections can meaningfully shift what someone believes is possible for their future.

That’s why I’m excited to continue this work in my new role on the ImBlaze team at Big Picture Learning.I believe that real-world learning experiences are often where students gain the clearest sense of who they are and what they want to do next. Those moments can be small, but they’re powerful, especially during such an important stage of life.

With all of that being said, I’m really excited to be here. I’m looking forward to getting to know all of you, learning from the community, and working together to support students as they explore opportunities and discover what’s possible for their futures!
