Our Newest Updates: Auto-Fill & Text Verifications

For years, we’ve heard two things loud and clear from our users:

1. Students wish there were more opportunities and more accurate information in ImBlaze.

2. It can take a lot of time to create those opportunities in the first place.

   
   

With our newest update for the educators, we’re tackling both challenges at once.

Here is a quick video from our Product Manager, Wilson Platt, who will give you a rundown of the key changes you should explore. Then, read though the rest of the blog to see the new process of adding opportunities.

A Streamlined Experience for Educators

Instead of navigating through multiple screens, educators can now add an opportunity in just five simple fields:

• Company name

• Mentor name

• Mentor profession/title

• Mentor email

• And then — you choose your next step.

  
  

You’ll see two new options designed for flexibility and speed:

Option 1: Quick Add - Choose Auto-Fill Details and ImBlaze will take care of the rest. Using a combination of Google APIs and LLMs, we’ll automatically generate the company’s address, website, location, description, and even potential projects for that internship.

Option 2: Fill Details Manually

Prefer to handle the details yourself? Select Fill Details Manually to access a single, clean page where you can enter all the information yourself. No more clicking through multiple pages to create the opportunity. You can also auto generate parts of the details after choosing manual entry if you want help with descriptions and projects.

Better Data, Better Opportunities

This update isn’t just about saving time — it’s about improving the quality of your database for students. Over time, these features will help ensure that ImBlaze opportunities are more complete, consistent, and accurate across your school or network.

Mentors can now receive SMS attendance verifications!

Mentors with single active students can opt-in to receive SMS notifications when their student completes a check-out. Make sure there is a phone number in the "Cell Number" field and that you enable attendance verification via SMS.

Verifications Options

They can reply "1" to quickly approve both check-in and check-out. 

OR

Click the verification link in the SMS to access the mentor verification page for detailed review and comments.
